March in Ms. Terri’s Classroom

The entire preschool enjoyed fruit kabobs with marshmallows. They made them and ate them all up. YUMMY!

Excellent Elephant’s having fun with Jello scented bubbles for Science & Sensory last week. The water was orange and green. Orange and Green Apple scents filled the room!

The Elephants use their large muscles to climb, grip and swing on the monkey bars. This is an excellent way for them to exercise their arm and abdominal muscles. They headed straight there when we went out yesterday! When we got back to class we also talked about the windy weather in March. We made paper kites in art to decorate the class room. We also plan to fly real kites outside together as a class. Our Board in the gym says… March Winds Blow!!!

The Excellent Elephant’s came dresses up as Famous African Americans. Each student created a poster with five fun facts about the person they chose. Some students just came and wore black. It was also Wear Black Day! We really enjoyed our circle time yesterday. Everyone got to share about the person they learned about and also shared their beautiful and creative posters. The posters will be put on display in the hallway for all to see.

The Excellent Elephants were artist’s last week. The class was exploring different types of art. This was a way to make 3 dimensional shapes using spaghetti noodles and marshmallows. We also explored Pointalism and sculptures using paint and clay. This week we are architects! They really enjoy it!
